About Me
Xiaojing Luo is an accomplished soprano whose artistry and passion have earned her recognition on both national and international stages. Currently pursuing her Graduate Artist Certificate at the University of North Texas (UNT), Xiaojing has cultivated her craft through rigorous training and diverse performance experiences. She holds a Master of Music degree from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and a Bachelor of Music degree from the prestigious Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.
With a repertoire spanning operatic roles, solo recitals, and concert performances, Xiaojing has brought to life characters such as Mrs. Johannes “Ma” Zegner in Proving Up (UNT, 2025), Angelica in Suor Angelica (Opera Lucca, 2023), and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte (Lyric Opera of Weimar, 2022). Her commitment to excellence was further highlighted when she won the William Gammon Henry Concerto Competition (2024-25).
Beyond the stage, Xiaojing has collaborated with renowned conductors, coaches, and directors, including Sherill Milnes, Michael Shell, and Louis Lohraseb. Her linguistic skills in English, Italian, German, French, and Japanese enhance her ability to authentically interpret diverse repertoire. Additionally, her instrumental expertise in flute, piano, and saxophone enriches her musicianship.
From Beijing to Bloomington and beyond, Xiaojing Luo continues to captivate audiences with her vocal brilliance and compelling artistry, embodying the timeless beauty of opera and song.
